Blackpoint to Cambridge Cay

Sunday morning 3/17 we pulled up our anchor after calling Blackpoint home for a entire week headed north to Big Majors anchorage for the night. 

Check out the beauty we passed along the way. 

Sunday afternoon we anchored at Big Majors for the evening and popped over to the pig beach for a visit (since we missed seeing them last time) and Staniel Cay for a couple of beverages at the yacht club.  

We also stopped at the cruisers beach for a little visit!

 

Monday we made our way to Cambridge Cay were we ended up staying another full week due to wind and weather coming our way.   This anchorage has good protection from every direction except west winds.   

There was lot's to do here.  We were close to a place called Rachel's bubble bath, the aquarium, trails to the beach on the ocean and a cave.  All of which we were able to explore.

We found the ocean side beach to be littered with bags, clothes, shoes, food containers and bagged water......and pieces of a man made boat.   Looks like we stumbled onto a shipwrecked refugee boat! As we walked down the beach we found the boat crashing on the reef.

Well, no bubbles!  The tide was low and the sea was calm.  Oh, well....maybe next year!  

Back to the dingy. 

The aquarium.  Bill did not snorkle but I did!  Beautiful! 

We also had a little sunset beach party with others in the anchorage.  

We had a great stay in Cambridge Cay!
