Cambridge to Nassau

We pulled up anchor in Cambridge on Tuesday 3/16 after a weeks stay and started our voyage to Nassau.

Our first stop was at Shroud Cay.  Although we had already visited this anchorage we wanted to do the river and the washing machine one more time.  We met up with fellow loopers that we had met at the fall rendezvous.  The river was just as cool as last time but this time the washing machine was churning!  We had a great day playing in the sun.  We had so much fun that we didn't even take any pictures!

Thursday morning we left Shroud for a 6 hour ride to Nassau.

Coming into Nassau

Being that we needed to pick up some provisions and hide from the wind, we anchored in Nassau Harbor.  It was a pretty busy harbor and there were a lot of boats anchored here waiting for the wind to pass.

See the cruise ships behind us!

Atlantis on the right!

This boat is covered in solar panels!  Can't say we've seen that before!

The next morning we moved out to Athol Island and anchored for the night.  The winds were still coming strong from the north and being in Nassau Harbor made for a long night.
