August 2022 Cruises

August was a busy month!

Along with our many projects preparing for our great loop cruise next spring, we were able to enjoy a cruise back to Put-In-Bay with the Point Yacht Club!

Enjoyed the Sandusky outdoor concerts.

I also got to have a very special weekend with my besties from work!  There were 9 of who had not seen each other since the onset of Covid.  I'm so happy I got to see them all together one more time before Bill and I leave next spring.  Thanks gals!  I'm going to miss you all very much!

Lake Erie Islands

Our first trip of the year took us to Kelly's Island and Put-in-Bay.

We stayed at Seaway Marina at Kelly's Island and had a great view of the lake.  We took the dinghy all the way around the island.

Of course it wouldn't be Lake Erie if we didn't get a storm.

Shortly after the storm we were visited by a swarm of bees!  A beekeeper advised the queen was in there somewhere and that they were probably looking for a new home.  No one was stung and they were still there when we left.

Next stop was Put-in-Bay.  We stayed on a mooring buoy for the night and took the water taxi in for dinner, drinks and live music.  The next morning we decided to head back to Cedar Point due to the wind forecast.
