As mentioned in the previous post, finding a place to anchor was a bit of a challenge. We wanted to anchor on Stocking Island across the harbor from Georgetown. We found if there was an opening big enough to anchor in, it was because the depth was too shallow or to deep. Not to mention we were both tried from the long ride and hungry. It got a little frustrating....but we finally found a spot to squeeze into just below the monument....right off monument beach close to the hiking trail that leads to the monument.
Saturday morning we took the dingy over to Georgetown to get rid of our trash and pop into the market for bread, eggs and lettuce. The market was surprising big! Everything you could need, but just not a large selection or quantity. There was only a few bags of hot dog buns left and all the loaf bread was gone except what they had left stacked in the crates. Just happy to have more bread and buns. 😉
To get into town you have to go under this bridge into a little bay where there is a dingy dock behind the market. As we were approaching the bridge a black tip shark was heading in but we spooked it!
