Jacksonville FL to Baltimore MD

We had a great month in Jacksonville visiting friends, but it was time to untie the lines and start our way up north for the summer.

Friday May 2nd we departed our temporary home at Port 32 and arrived at Fernandina Beach.  Before anchoring we took on 300 gallons of fuel at Port Consolidated.

Saturday morning we were up and moving before 7am for a 12 hour ride.  We started the trip out in the Atlantic for about 6 hours coming in at Saint Simmons Island cut due to storms that were forecast for the afternoon.  A couple hours on the intercoastal and the storm blew in with the highest gust of 47mph! We made it through without any issues and finally anchored in the Timmons River just before dark.

Sunday we made our way to Savannah and tied up at the Riverfront dock.

Tuesday morning we departed Savannah traveling 12 hours and anchored at Steamboat Creek Anchorage.

Wednesday we had a short ride to Safe Harbor in Charleston City where we got a dock for the night.

Thursday we 5/8 we anchored in Awendaw Creek Anchorage and road out a storm.

Friday we arrived in Georgetown mid afternoon.  We had hoped to tie up on one of the two town dock T heads but both were taken so we anchored in the same place we did on our way south.

We were up Saturday morning and moving by 6:30 so that we could catch the current as we continued north to Myrtle Beach.

Sunday 5/11 we arrived at Morningstar Southport and secured a dock for the night.

Monday we made our way to Mile Hammock Bay Anchorage.

Tuesday we arrived at Oriental Marina for the night.

Wednesday we stayed at Dowery Creek Marina.  There were so many hummingbirds!  I have never seen so many at one time ever!  There were two boat that had hummingbird feeders on them.  This one had one in the front and back of the boat....you can see the birds at both!

Thursday we we anchored at North River Broad Creek and road out a storm.

Friday we arrived at Coinjock Marina for the night and enjoyed their famous Prime Rib dinner.

Saturday we stayed at the Great Bridge free dock and got fuel at YAB the next morning before making our way to Deltaville where we anchored for the night.

Monday morning we made our way to Calvert's Marina at the Solomons Island where we got a dock for the night.  The next morning we had a short rider to Anchorage Marina in Baltimore MD.

That was quite a jump from Jacksonville to Baltimore!
